she straight up hates the dude lol. If those two are in the same room, they are fighting in some way.
Before going back, she only knew Future Donnie from stories and the couple of videos he left for her. She only knew the exhausted Donnie had spent the last four years trying to keep people alive during an apocalypse while simultaneously preparing for his own death. She was not prepared for the snarky little 16 yo know-it-all they ended up actually meeting.
Could she eventually get alone with present Donnie? Yeah, probably. But Clara would much rather bicker and fight with him than make friends.
(I thought about having her get taking by the council alongside Don for this, but i think those two working together would just mean they destroyed the place and went home before anyone realized they were taken lol. Those two would be a very chaotic, very destructive duo if they stopped fighting for two seconds.)
